My wedding is in October but I’ve been engaged for just over a year now & wanted to share my recs so far!

1️⃣ Celebrate Everything & do any or all of it! No right or wrong answers but if it gets you excited - EMBRACE it (we’re only doing it once right?)

2️⃣ DIY - Trust me we all know someone who’s down to be crafty, learn to be, or use FB Marketplace. Save a little 💰so you can spend it on the important things!

3️⃣ Trust your vendors! We truly want the best for you & to build a relationship with you before the big day so we feel like we already “know” you. It’s makes everything more seamless. Do the trials, engagement shoot, pre wedding prep as recommended!

4️⃣ Do the Bach Party… or some get together what ever fits your mood & budget! No regrets, it’s a welcome event in the middle of the planning process!

5️⃣ Ride the wave 🌊 🎢 it’s A LOT! Honestly, you have to embrace it all because it’s such a learning experience. It won’t go perfectly … & That’s totally normal! So just take care of yourself, use your people, & lean on your person…

Because it will be the Best Day Ever 🙌🏼

Venue – This locks in your date and really sets the tone for the whole day.

Photographer / Videographer – The people capturing all the moments you’ll want to relive forever.

Hair & Makeup – This is the team you’ll actually spend your whole morning with. The energy in the room, the timeline of the morning, how relaxed you feel… it’s all happening while you’re getting ready. At Blush, each artist typically only takes one wedding per day, so dates tend to go fast.

Planner or Coordinator – Someone to keep everything moving so you can actually enjoy your day.

Pro tip: Hair and makeup often end up shaping the entire getting-ready timeline, so booking your beauty team early can make planning the rest of the morning way easier.

🗓 30 DAYS OUT
Book your facial + start a consistent skincare routine (cleanse, treat, hydrate, SPF). Think gentle + consistent, not experimental.

🗓 3–4 WEEKS OUT
Get a professional facial (hydrating or brightening > aggressive treatments). This gives your skin time to fully heal and glow.

✨ Trying new things right before the wedding
New skincare, facials, or products too close to the big day can lead to irritation or breakouts. Stick with what your skin already loves.
✨ Forgetting about SPF before your big day. Makeup can work wonders but it can only conceal so much. Not getting burnt before your wedding day is a very important step.
✨ Getting a spray tan too close to the wedding date. We usually recommend 48–72 hours before the wedding so it has time to settle and look its most natural.
